SAMPLE PACKAGE ITINERARY:
Please Note: This is only a sample itinerary. The Ultimate San Juan package is flexible and can be completed by starting in either Purgatory or Telluride. The itinerary that follows is only a sample that depicts flying to Montrose or Durango and renting a car to start the package.

Travel Day:
If you have arrived at the Durango airport, you'll head north towards the Purgatory Ski Area by driving through Durango. Stop in Durango and enjoy the many restaurants before heading up into the mountains where the dining options are limited. Total drive time is approximately 45 minutes. Lodging this evening is at the Silverpick Inn.
DAY 1:
You'll enjoy a day of snow cat skiing with the San Juan Ski Company. After you have cat skied you'll drive 29 miles north over Coal Bank and Molas passes to the hidden mountain hamlet of Silverton and check in at the Inn of the Rockies.
DAY 2:
Adventure skiing at the one of a kind Silverton Ski area. After skiing you'll drive north over spectacular Red Mountain Pass, through the town of Ouray (a good spot for dinner), past the remarkable Orvis Hot Springs (clothing optional), through Ridgway and up to Telluride to check in at the luxurious Camel's Garden Hotel.
This drive takes about 2 hours and is simply beautiful. If you have the time in your schedule, after skiing in Silverton it would be a good time to add a night's lodging (in Silverton) to your vacation.
